Superintendent Gibson presents the 2023-2028 Strategic Plan
Due to unexpected circumstances, KVGC was unable to livestream the previous board meeting in which Dr. Gibson presented our new strategic plan for the first time. Because of this, she presented the plan again at last night’s meeting to give our community another chance to hear the presentation. To view the plan, please visit https://amadorcoe.org/strategic-plan/.
From the Agenda:
- The board approved five board policy updates from our Educational Services department.
- The Resolution for Exemption to the Separation from Service Requirement was approved, which will allow our retired Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) to train our new Student Success Technician.
- The board approved two Notices of Intent to Employ Teacher on a Provisional Internship Permit, which allows us to hire a teacher on a one-year Short Term Staffing Permit due to a lack of suitable credentialed applicants.
- The board approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Amador County Teacher’s Association (ACTA) regarding substitute coverage.
The next meeting will be held on August 30, 2023, tentatively scheduled to be held at the Amador County Administration Building, 810 Court St., Jackson, CA. Open session will begin at 6:30 pm. Board agendas can be viewed here.
ACUSD/ACOE BOARD BRIEFS are distributed to the community and staff of Amador County School District/Amador County Office of Education to highlight actions taken at board meetings. They are not intended to take the place of the meeting minutes. Citizens are encouraged to attend meetings. For information, visit amadorcoe.org.
