Here are a few highlights from the June 14, 2023 meeting. The full agenda can be viewed here:

From the Agenda:

  • The board held a public hearing and first reading of the 2023-2024 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). The board will vote to approve the LCAP at the upcoming board meeting on June 21st.
  • The board held a public hearing and reviewed the proposed 2023-2024 Annual Budget. The board will vote to approve the 2023-2024 Annual Budget at the upcoming board meeting on June 21st.
  • The board approved the purchase and subscription services agreement for Raptor Technologies. This agreement will allow the district to use Raptor Technologies to increase the
  • safety of children and adults on our campuses.
  • The board approved the Declaration of Need for Fully Qualified Educators. This declaration is submitted to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) each year and, once approved, allows the district to request limited assignment permits and emergency permits for certificated services.
  • The board approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which was agreed to by ACUSD and CSEA Bargaining Unit #239. This will MOU will allow ACUSD to issue individual fuel cards to employees, where previously they were issued to district vehicles only.
  • The board approved an MOU between ACUSD and the Amador County Teachers Association (ACTA) to implement collaboration time into the workday. This collaboration time will allow the knowledge and skills of our educators to be maintained and improved through the exchange of ideas and professional dialogue. This also serves to boost staff morale, satisfaction, and confidence.
  • The board approved the Successor Collective Bargaining Agreement, which is the result of ACUSD working with CSEA #239 to review and update aspects of the current agreement. This contract will be effective through June 30, 2024.

The next meeting will be held on June 21, 2023, tentatively scheduled to be held at the Amador County Administration Building, 810 Court St., Jackson, CA. The Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) open session will begin at 5:00 pm. Board agendas can be viewed here.
