Career Technical Education (CTE) Program Update

Andrew Gardner, the CTE Coordinator, explained that the CTE program is a multiyear series of courses that combine academic knowledge with practical skills to help students prepare for college and careers. The program allows students to gain hands-on experience and learn about different career options. It’s growing in popularity both statewide and nationwide along with state and federal funding. Mr. Gardner shared the program’s impressive achievements since 2018 and discussed its future goals. The ACUSD Blueprint for Tomorrow vision is that an Amador County high school graduate will receive career and technical education starting in 4th grade which will propel the student along a consistent and sustained career exploration and readiness pathway.
