The Communications Department supports the Amador GOLD Standard through routinely sharing information with our students, staff, families, and community. The goal of the Communications Department is to keep our community informed, celebrate staff and student success, and tell our district’s story.

ACUSD News and Information

Communications are shared through a variety of channels: ParentSquare, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, district and school websites, and our local newspaper and radio station. ParentSquare, which is our district’s parent communication platform, is used by our district and each school to communicate directly with families via email, text, push notifications, and phone calls. For more information about ParentSquare, please click on ParentSquare information on the left hand side of this page.

Strategic Communication Plan

The current Strategic Communication Plan was created in 2023 and maps out our communication strategies for the next 3 years. The plan was created based on feedback gathered from the community through a ThoughtExchange survey and aligns with our district’s 2023 – 2028 Strategic Plan.

The three goals in the plan are as follows:

  • Goal 1: Improve and strengthen external communication with students, families, and the community.
  • Goal 2: Improve internal communication with staff.
  • Goal 3: Develop a comprehensive crisis communication plan.
