Educational Services Challenge Coins

Michelle Pechette, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, awarded ACUSD Challenge Coins to Malinda Hemig (administrative assistant), Sonya Backovich (student success technician), and Erika Simmons (community partner from The Resource Connection).

Community Service Hours for Certificates and Block A Awards

Seniors from Amador and Argonaut High School were recognized for their many hours of service to our community. Students with 135 hours of service or more were formally recognized before the board and given awards according to their total number of hours. This year, our seniors alone completed a total of 12,000 hours of community service. 

Student Board Member Recognition

Jared Critchfield formally recognized student board member Maeve Klement for her 2 years of service on the board. Maeve will graduate from Argonaut High School in June as co-valedictorian.

From the agenda:

• The board approved the Sunshine Proposals for 2024-2025 between ACUSD and ACTA.
• The board approved Resolution ACUSD 2023/2024-17 and Resolution ACOE 2023/2024-07 for the 2024/2025 Tax Revenue Anticipation Note.
• The board approved the 3rd Interim Budget Revisions for ACUSD and ACOE.
• The board approved the 3rd Interim Budget Certification for ACUSD and ACOE.

The next meeting will be held on June 12, scheduled to be held at the Amador County Administration Building, 810 Court St., Jackson, CA. Open session will begin at 6:30 pm. Board agendas can be viewed here.
