Maintenance Staff Awarded Challenge Coins
Maintenance Director Joe Cruz awarded ACUSD Challenge Coins to Randy DenBraven and Kevin Rehfeldt. Congratulations to Randy and Kevin, and thank you for your hard work keeping our schools clean and safe!
School Consolidation Updates
Mike Garrison, a representative from the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF), discussed the four-year realignment process and explained why Amador and Argonaut were moved by CIF to a different league.
As noted in item 11.4: With the current focus being on CEQA process and the DEIR , the future meetings for the Consolidation Bargaining Unit Teams and the Consolidation Community Input Team will be placed on hold. We will resume these meetings once the Board has formally voted on the EIR in April and we have a clear vision for our next steps.
From the agenda:
- The board approved the contract amendment with Placeworks.
- The board discussed the Governor’s proposals for the 2024-25 state budget.
- The board approved the Clean School Bus Rebates Program School Board Awareness Certification, which authorizes district staff to apply for funds to replace existing school buses to with zero and low-emission models.
- The board discussed the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) mid-year update.
- The board approved several board policy updates from the Educational Services department.
- The board approved the Partnership Agreement between ACUSD and the University of Massachusetts Global, which will provide scholarship opportunities and reduced fees for eligible staff and dependents.
The next meeting will be held on March 6th, scheduled to be held at the Amador County Administration Building, 810 Court St., Jackson, CA. Open session will begin at 6:30 pm. Board agendas can be viewed here.
