Sutter Creek Elementary Staff Awarded Challenge Coins
Sutter Creek Elementary Principal Tia Peters awarded ACUSD Challenge Coins to 4 of her staff members at the board meeting. Congratulations to Claire Gunselman, special education aide; Maddy Watts, 1st/2nd-grade teacher; Amanda Henry, 6th-grade teacher; and Kelsey Newman-Lauder, health aide.
Human Resources Technician Awarded Challenge Coin
Adrian Palazuelos, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, awarded an ACUSD Challenge Coin to Dyana Hartman, Human Resources Technician. Congratulations, Dyana!
School Consolidation Updates
Michelle Pechette, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, provided information regarding the academic benefits of consolidation with a focus on Objective B of our Strategic Plan, System of Student Supports. She gave details about the planned Student & Family Resource Center, as well as the Wellness Center that opened this year at Amador High School. A Wellness Center is opening very soon at Argonaut High School as well.
Jared Critchfield, Deputy Superintendent, presented a list of all expenses for consolidation to date. The expenditures presented were from May 2022 through January 2024.
From the agenda:
- The board approved the Draft EIR Extension request. The Draft EIR public review period will now be open through February 13th.
- The board approved the Capital Adult Education Regional Consortium (CAERC) voting name change.
- The board approved several board policy updates from the Educational Services Department, the Business Office, and the Superintendent’s Office.
- The board approved several Career Technical Education revisions for the 2024-2025 school year: the reclassification from Career Technical Education (CTE) Coordinator to CTE Director, along with an updated job description and salary schedule.
- The board accepted the ACUSD & ACOE Audit reports for 2021/2022.
- The board approved the Black Box Network Services Proposal, which is a service contract for all district phones.
- The board approved the updated board meeting calendar, which removed the February 28th meeting from the calendar.
The next meeting will be held on February 7th, scheduled to be held at the Amador County Administration Building, 810 Court St., Jackson, CA. Open session will begin at 6:30 pm. Board agendas can be viewed here.
