Election of Officers
Officers were elected for the SELPA, ACUSD, and ACOE school boards.

Board Meeting Dates for the 2024 Calendar Year
The school board approved the 2024 Board Meeting Dates for SELPA, ACUSD, and ACOE board meetings. The board meeting schedule can be viewed here and on the district website at School Board.
School Consolidation Updates
ACUSD staff gave updates about school consolidation regarding academics and master scheduling benefits, athletics cost-savings, and communications plans going forward. Deputy Superintendent Jared Critchfield gave an update on the current consolidation costs and the long-term cost savings.
FROM THE AGENDA:
SELPA (Special Education Local Plan Area)
- The Amador SELPA plan presented in June 2023 has been conditionally accepted by the California Department of Education (CDE).
- Sadie Hedegard, Assistant Superintendent of Special Education and SELPA Director, provided the board with legislation, staffing, and financial updates.
ACUSD
- The board approved the name, mascot, and colors for the Consolidated High School.
- The board approved the new high school course request. The new course approved was Professional Theater 1.
- The board approved the Sutter Health Student Experience Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This MOU re-establishes the connection between ACUSD, Sutter Health, and Columbia College to allow our students to gain work-based healthcare experience in our local hospital. Eighteen students will begin an externship with Sutter Health in the Spring semester.
- The board approved the Amador County Teachers Association (ACTA) Successor Contract for 2021-2024.

- The board held a public hearing for the 2023/2024 Education Protection Account Spending Determination.
- The board approved the adoption of Resolution ACUSD 2023/2024-07: 2022/2023 Education Protection Account.
- The board held a public hearing for the Developer Fee Resolution ACUSD 2023/2024-08 and the 2022/2023 Fiscal Year Report.
- The board approved the adoption of Resolution ACUSD 2023/2024-08: Developer Fees and the Developer Fee Report for the 2023/2024 Fiscal Year.
- The board approved the ACUSD 2023/2024 First Interim Budget Revisions.
- The board approved the ACUSD 2023/2024 First Interim Budget Certification.
ACOE
- The board held a public hearing for the 2023/2024 Education Protection Account Spending Determination.
- The board approved the adoption of Resolution ACOE 2023/2024-05: 2023/2024 Education Protection Account.
- The board approved the ACOE 2023/2024 First Interim Budget Revisions.
- The board approved the ACOE 2023/2024 First Interim Budget Certification.
The next meeting will be held on December 13th, tentatively scheduled to be held at the Amador County Administration Building, 810 Court St., Jackson, CA. Open session will begin at 6:30 pm. Board agendas can be viewed here.
