New Board Members Sworn In

Peter Gale, representing District 4, and Ken Farrar, representing District 5, were sworn in for their terms as new Board Members.

2025 Board Meeting Dates Established

The board established the 2025 Board Meeting Dates for ACUSD, ACOE, and SELPA.

ACUSD:

• The board approved the New High School Course Request - American Cultures.
• The board approved the Memorandum of Understanding with Moreland University.
• The board approved the updated Mental Health Therapist job description.
• The board approved Resolution 2024/2025-09 Energy Services Agreement - SYSERCO Energy Solutions, Inc.
• The board held a public hearing for the 2024-25 Education Protection Account (EPA) Spending Determination.
• The board approved Resolution 2024/2025-10 - Education Protection Account (EPA) - Spending Determination.
• The board held a public hearing for the Developer Fee Resolution, 2023-24 Annual Developer Fee Report, and 2019-20 to 2023-24 5-Year Developer Fee Report.
• The board approved the Developer Fee Resolution, 2023-24 Annual Developer Fee Report, and 2019-20 to 2023-24 5-Year Developer Fee Report.
• The board approved the ACUSD 2024-25 First Interim Budget Revisions.
• The board approved ACUSD’s 2024-25 First Interim Budget Certification.

ACOE:

• The board held a public hearing for the 2024-25 Education Protection Account (EPA) Spending Determination.
• The board approved Resolution 2024/2025-10 - Education Protection Account (EPA) - Spending Determination.
• The board approved the ACOE 2024-25 First Interim Budget Revisions.
• The board approved ACOE’s 2024-25 First Interim Budget Certification.

SELPA:

• The board reviewed the SELPA 2024-25 Local Plan acceptance letter from the California Department of Education (CDE). This item was informational only, and no board action was taken.
• The board received a staffing update from Dr. Hedegard. This item was informational only, and no board action was taken.

The next meeting will be held on January 15, 2025, scheduled to be held at the Amador County Administration Building, 810 Court St., Jackson, CA. The ACUSD Board Meeting will begin at 6:30 pm. Board agendas and minutes can be viewed here.
