The ACUSD/ACOE Community Newsletter is a weekly communication from the Amador County Unified School District and Amador County Office of Education. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our families, staff, and community members informed about our district!

Fall Athletic Game Admission Information
This fall athletics season, there are 3 different ways to purchase admission:
  1. Purchase online at gofan.co.
  2. Purchase at the box office kiosk with debit/credit card
  3. Purchase a sport-specific pass or all-event punch card.

When to Keep Your Child Home from School
The California Department of Public Health has released suggestions for when to keep your child home when they are not feeling well. Please see the attached flyer or visit the CDPH Guidance Page for more information.

Did you know your child can get lead poisoning if someone in your home works with lead at their job? See the attached informational cards from the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program for more information, courtesy of Amador County Public Health.

Buy a Meal to Support Amador County Students!
Amador College Connect has partnered with the Argonaut High School Culinary Department for a Dinner in a Bag fundraiser!

Pick up: Thursday, Sept. 5 between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm at the Argonaut parking lot below the tennis courts.

The dinner will feed four people and will include:
  • Rosemary chicken
  • Fingerling potatoes
  • Butternut squash
  • Cranberry-apple salad with vinaigrette
  • French bread with whipped herb butter
The cost is $60 if paid by check and $63 if paid online. To pay online, please click here and be sure to include your phone number in the comments.

School Board Updates
The next School Board meeting will take place on Wednesday, August 28, at the Amador County Administration Center located at 810 Court St. Jackson, CA 95642. Open Session begins at 6:30 p.m.

Celebrating 35 Years
Jana Whitlock, administrative assistant at Jackson Elementary, was celebrated for 35 years with ACUSD and the impact she has had on countless students and staff.

First Day of School
Students were all smiles on the first day of school! The excitement was contagious as students rushed to enjoy their first recess of the new school year.

Little League East All Stars
Over the summer, Amador County students on the Little League East team became the first minor league team in the county to place in the state championships after winning both the district and the section championships! They came in 4th place out of over 400 teams in California.
Congratulations to all of the athletes and their coaches!
