The ACUSD/ACOE Community Newsletter is a weekly communication from the Amador County Unified School District and Amador County Office of Education. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our families, staff, and community members informed about our district!

School News
Volleyball Referees & Scorekeepers Needed 🏐
We are seeking referees and/or scorekeepers at our junior high schools for the upcoming junior high and elementary school girls' volleyball season.

Girls' volleyball runs mid-February through the end of March. A basic understanding of the game is helpful for both positions but is not required.

School Board Updates
The next School Board meeting will take place on February 19, 2025, at the Amador County Administration Center located at 810 Court St. Jackson, CA 95642. Open Session begins at 6:30 p.m.

Elle Halvorson Voted Best Teacher 🎉
Elle Halvorson, TK/Kindergarten teacher at Sutter Creek Primary School, was voted Best Teacher in Amador County by our community!

Principal Tia Peters said, "This is a well-deserved recognition for Elle. It highlights the incredible impact she has on our students, school, and community."

Recognizing Pioneer Elementary Staff Members
At the board meeting on Wednesday, 3 exceptional staff members from Pioneer Elementary were recognized for their leadership, commitment, and passion. Principal Denae Merten awarded ACUSD Challenge Coins to Jennifer Aguiar (not pictured), Amanda Robinson, and Kalena Granada.
Recognizing Maintenance Team Members
At the board meeting on Wednesday, 4 members of our maintenance team were recognized for their hard work and dedication to the upkeep of our campuses. Maintenance Department Director Joe Cruz awarded ACUSD Challenge Coins to Dennis Nelson, Charles Foyil, Robert Barge (not pictured), and Randy DenBraven.
