Dear ACUSD & ACOE Families, Staff, Students, and Community,
The Amador County Unified School District is pleased to announce, pending board approval on October 9, the appointment of Patty Horn as the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services. The selection process included interviews with a panel of staff from the district office and multiple school sites, as well as our labor partners. The district cabinet held a final round of interviews, in which Ms. Horn was chosen as the ideal candidate for this position. Upon the board's approval, Ms. Horn will begin her new role on Monday, October 21, 2024.
Patty Horn has 31 years of experience in public education, teaching all grades from transitional kindergarten through 5th grade. She has also served as a vice principal, principal, and superintendent. Ms. Horn is currently the proud principal of Pioneer Elementary School and has a deep love and connection with our upcountry community. She looks forward to contributing to the bright future of Amador County.
We are excited to welcome Patty Horn to our leadership team and look forward to her vision and leadership of the Educational Services Department.
