School Board Updates

The next School Board meeting will take place on November 13, at the Amador County Administration Center located at 810 Court St. Jackson, CA 95642. Open Session begins at 6:30 p.m.

New Student Board Member Sworn In
Molly Jane Gilliam from Argonaut High School was sworn in as our newest student board member on October 9. She joins Payton Patterson from Amador High School, who is serving her second year as a student board member.

We look forward to both of these students sharing valuable student perspectives with our board over the upcoming school year.

ACUSD 3rd Graders Attend Farm Day 🐐
At Farm Day, students delved into the realm of agriculture, interacting with farm animals, sampling local grapes, and even creating fresh grape juice. They also learned about forestry, fire fighting, and the process of food from farm to table.

ACOE Resource Center Project 🎒
The School & Community Integration Division of ACOE has partnered with Bonnie Gale's Adult Transition class on a Workability project! The students came to the ACOE Resource Center to begin inventorying and organizing items in the resource center.

First DELAC Meeting of 2024/2025
This week, we had a wonderful turnout of parents, community members, and staff for our first District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) meeting of the year, led by Plymouth Elementary Principal Joe Horacek.

Walking to School with Ione Elementary 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️
Wednesday, October 9, was Walk to School Day, but Ione Elementary students don't need an excuse to walk to school! Every Wednesday morning, a group of students and parents can be seen walking through downtown Ione, following principal Mike Huss on their way to school.
