Community Service Hours Awards
High school students who have completed 135 hours or more of community service were recognized before the board with certificates and Block A letter awards. Additional awards were given for students who completed more than 270, 500, and 1000 hours of community service.
Argonaut High School Challenge Coins
Argonaut High School principal Kelly Hunkins recognized 6 staff members with ACUSD Challenge Coins: Kevin Harlow, Alena Vratoss, Michelle Joyce, Sarah Yonan, Chris Lucke, and Charlie Foyil.
Special Education Challenge Coins
Dr. Sadie Hedegard, Assistant Superintendent of Special Education, awarded an ACUSD Challenge Coin to Mahaila Hendricks, a community partner through ATCAA. Joshua Brock, ACOE Director of Special Education, awarded a challenge coin to Joy Wallen. Steve Russell, Director of Alternative Special Education, awarded a challenge coin to Lisa Putney. Jan Johnson, Program Specialist, awarded a challenge coin to Theresa Davis. Jill Weber, Program Specialist, awarded a challenge coin to Lacey Henry.
Advance Via Individual Determination (AVID) Presentation
Tara Hannah, AVID Coordinator, provided the board with a summary of AVID, as well as an update on AVID’s growth in ACUSD over the past 8 years. Two students, Georgianna Calestini and Latu’ila Tuungafasi, spoke about the impact AVID has had on their lives.

- The board approved Amador County Unified School District's Audit Report for 2023-2024
- The board approved the Variable Term Waiver requests.
- The board approved the Global Adoption of several board policies.
- The board held a first reading for the Global Adoption of Facilities-related board polices. As this was a first reading, no board action was taken.
ACOE:
- The board approved Amador County Office of Education's Audit Report for 2023-2024.
- The board approved the Global Adoption of several board policies.

The next meeting will be held on June 1, 2025, scheduled to be held at the Amador County Administration Building, 810 Court St., Jackson, CA. The ACUSD Board Meeting will begin at 6:30 pm. Board agendas and minutes can be viewed here.
